Place of the congress

The Yaboumba congress will take place in the middle of the Latin Quarter in the Town Hall of the 5th district (« Mairie du 5ie arrondissement »). The Latin Quarter is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Paris. The origin of its name dates back to the Middle Ages when this already student district brought together a good number of schools providing education in Latin. It is the meeting place for Parisians and tourists, who stroll there in a friendly and lively atmosphere. You will discover, along the way, great museums, Roman remains, exceptional monuments and splendid gardens.

The Town Hall of the 5th district is a historic place built in 1774 under King Louis XV. It is located on the Sainte-Geneviève Mountain, just in front of the Sainte-Geneviève church, which has become the famous Pantheon, temple of the great women and men of the French Nation.
